Both Faizah Muhammad and Brian Kaneshige of Columbia High School, claimed individual state fencing championships on Saturday, May 13, at Rider University.
For Muhammad, it was her second consecutive state crown in the sabre, as she went 8-0 on the way to the title.
It was also Kaneshige's second state championship in the foil. He also wnet a perfect 8-0 on the way to the title.
