The Springfield Avenue Partnership has announced the live music schedule and other attractions at Maplewood's 9th annual MayFest, a street fair to be held on Springfield Avenue between Indiana and Princeton on Sunday, May 16. The live bands represent a wide range of musical genres; headliners include Moroccan Sheepherders, Mood Ring, StingRay from StarFish, Jazz Patrol, Deena, David Easton, The Jimmy Lee Duo, Vic Della Pello Band and Mophat. MayFest will also stage the finals of a National Fencing Event hosted by the New Jersey Fencing Alliance, at 50-58 Burnet Ave., as well as the first annual MayFest Classic Car Show. Other attractions include over 75 local vendors, food from local restaurants, artists, crafters and civic associations, rides and activities for the kids, and the first annual pie-eating contest (pies donated by Kari's Café, 1883 Springfield Avenue). Rain date is Sunday, May 23rd.
