Lorraine W. Henderson of Whiting, formerly of Maplewood, died on Mar. 16. She was born in Pittston, PA, and graduated high school in Elizabeth. She lived in North Brunswick and Maplewood before moving to Whiting. Henderson earned bachelor's and master's degrees in fine arts from Kean University. She was a member of the Strollers Community Theater and a deacon at Prospect Presbyterian Church in Maplewood. Later she was active with the Crestwood Artists' Guild and Community Reformed Church in Whiting. Henderson had worked as an administrative trainer for the Kvaerner Process Engineering Firm in Bridgewater before her retirement in 2001. The funeral will be held in the Werson Funeral Home, 635 No. Wood Ave., Linden, on on Mar. 20 at 10:30am. Visitation will be on Friday from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.
