On November 21, 2009 Instructors from the Maplewood Karate Club were inducted into the International Association of Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Master Instructor at the Maplewood karate Club Louis Toledo 9th degree black belt received the master instructor of the year award pictures far right. Angelo Gamboa 5th degree black belt received the Expert Martial Arts Instructor of the year award pictured left and Diego Dumas 5th degree black belt pictured center received the Martial Arts Master of the year Award. This is the second year in a row kyoshi Louis Toledo has received this award, a two time hall of famer who founded the Maplewood Karate Club back in June of 2009.
