We've got some fun things planned for our next season, but we've got a few seats to fill. We'd love to have you no matter what instrument you play (well, as long as it's a band instrument, we don't need ukeleles or slide whistles, no offense), but especially:
A keyboard player: We don't have the budget to get a xylophone, marimba, vibraphone and harp, but a good player with an electronic keyboard could help us cover all of those great parts, and more.
Clarinets: we've only got three and it would be good to beef up that part of the sound. ESPECIALLY if you've got a bass, Eb or alto clarinet!
Percussion: our player is good, but he's just one guy. Most of the music requires two or three players to cover everything. Got equipment? Cymbals, chimes, a gong or tam-tam, even (this is too much to hope for maybe) timpani?
Double reeds: We've got an oboe and bassoon, but most music calls for two of each.
French Horn: We've got two great ones, but we need another two to be regulars.
We rehearse the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month, though because of the holidays our first rehearsal is Wednesday the 15th, 7:30 - 9:30 at DeHart Rec Center. Our first concert will be in December.
Come on down!
