Arts Unbound Back in a New Location
The store, with holiday gift items crafted by persons with special needs and abilities, is opening next door to Lorena's for the holiday season.
In case you haven't heard, Arts Unbound is back in Maplewood Village for the holiday season — with its "Gift of Art" retail location. This year, the shop is moving into the old Mona Lisa Gallery space, next door to Maplewood Nail and Restaurant Lorena's.
The opening reception is Thursday, November 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 168 Maplewood Avenue with a ribbon cutting at 7 p.m.
All proceeds from store sales go to artists living with disabilities and to support Arts Unbound's vocational programs. Well-known artists from last year will have their work on display as well as emerging artists, all with new creations for the holiday season.
Store hours are: Wed: 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Thu: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., Fri-Sat: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., Sun: 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. For additional information about The Gift of Art, call 973-763-5260.
Arts Unbound is a 10-year-old non-profit organization hosting a teaching studio and gallery in the Valley Arts District of Orange, NJ.
