Summer is coming, and the Junior League of Summit (JLS) is helping savvy shoppers buy beach needs on a budget.
Second Time Around, the thrift shop operated by JLS will unveil the first wave of summer merchandise. The annual Beach Blast event, featuring affordable summer clothing for women, men, and children will be held on Thursday, May 24th from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m, Friday, May 25th from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Saturday, May 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A selection of summer clothing and accessories, including bathing suits, cover-ups, sunglasses, sandals, T-shirts, shorts and beach towels, for men, women and children will be available at a fraction of department store prices.
“Summer is just around the corner. Join us at our Beach Blast event to stock up on summer essentials. Families should feel proud to shop locally for fantastic summer items while stretching their dollar,” said Sara Sykes, President of the JLS.
Second Time Around Thrift Shop in Summit was established in 1934 and is the primary fundraiser for the JLS. Since its inception, the Shop has raised over $3,000,000 to benefit Summit and surrounding communities. Second Time Around is one of only two thrift shops in New Jersey featured in the book, True Prep.
