C’mon, Irene, Leave Already! (More Openings and Closings ‘About Town’)

Irene puts a definite damper on activities 'About Town'

No way around it, that ’s one major wet blanket and raining on just about everyone’s parade this weekend. While she may have motivated many to swarm to stores for supplies, she’s now causing some local shops to shutter up early Saturday and stay shut Sunday, too.

of Maplewood's has helped provide Patch with a partial listing of local places altering their hours of operation. (Some plans are pending and we’ll try to keep the status as up to date as possible – or as current as Irene allows!)

will be closed all day Sunday and Monday for lunch, re-opening on Monday for dinner.

is closing, canceling Sunday classes.    

(as of 4 p.m. Saturday) plans to remain OPEN Saturday and Sunday.

will be closed Saturday for brunch which we will decide by 3pm.depending on severity of weather....Sunday they’ll be closed for brunch and decide whether or not to open for dinner at 3 p.m.   

is planning to close Sunday, unless weather is not as severe as anticipated... Call ahead if in doubt.  

(as of 4pm Saturday) plans to remain open until 10pm and maintain regular hours Sunday (7am-9pm)

may close early Saturday depending on conditions and will be closed Sunday.

will remain open until 5pm Saturday and will be closed Sunday.

will be battening down the hatches at 5 PM Saturday and will not open Sunday. So get your games early today! (Board games by candle light may be end up being more realistic than romantic come tomorrow…)

is trying to trying to stay open until 8 p.m. tonight (weather willing) but will be closed Sunday.

will be closing at 4 p.m. Saturday but plans to be open Sunday, weather permitting.

will be closed Saturday night and all Sunday.

plans to close at 6 p.m. Saturday and may have a delayed opening on Sunday.

Up on Springfield Avenue, closed at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

And one the entertainment/activities front:

has cancelled the 9 p.m. movies for Saturday evening.  Since they don't open until noon on Sunday, they are still waiting it out before making the call…

SOPAC is closed.

closed at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Pool remains closed all day Sunday and will be scheduled to re-open pending weather and facility conditions on Monday Aug. 29 at 12
noon. (There will be no commuter swim on Monday morning)

While we'll try to keep this as current as possible, your best bet is to call ahead: when in doubt, give 'em a shout!
