JAN. 9 - Columbia's boys basketball team topped East Orange Campus 62-53 Friday night, behind strong performances from Ken Rubenstein and Floyd Melvin.

Senior guard Rubenstein had 19 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Melvin, also a senior, scored 18 and added four rebounds and a steal. He was a perfect for-for-four from the free throw line.

Senior guard Matthew Stevens also paced the Cougars with 10 points, four rebounds and a steal.

Junior Femi Agunbiade added seven rebounds.

The win left C.H.S. with a 4-3 record.

Livingston is next on the Cougars' schedule.
