Clinton Elementary Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month with Zumba Gym Class? Me encanta!
Clinton School shakes up PE with some international flair!
Clinton School's fourth and fifth graders enjoyed a high-energy exercise workout during a Zumba class in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
Students worked up a healthy heart rate in to the pulsating beats of the Latin music at the hour-long Zumba class. The classes took place during gym class periods on Oct. 8 and 9 and included salsa and meringue dance steps, too!
Clinton principal Patricia O'Neill and several teachers even joined in the healthy fun. Meg Hanley, one of Clinton's English Language Learning (ELL) teachers, was instrumental in organizing the Zumba classes, which were made possible with the support of Clinton School's PTA.
Muy bien!
Diversity in Maplewood and South Orange
It's a word that's thrown about often in our two towns, but how well are we really doing when it comes to embracing diversity? Find out tonight!

Tonight the Coalition will present their annual Report to the Community: A Roundtable on the Value of Integration at 7:00 p.m. at the South Orange Public Library (65 Scotland Rd., South Orange). The evening will tackle the topic of the state of integration in the nation, the region and right here at home.
