Newark Arts High Alum to Cap Off Black History Month

Good news, jazz fans. “An evening of Jazz” featuring Jackie Jones is coming up on Saturday, February 25, in Maplewood at Astah's Fine Arts. More good news: The concert is free.
A graduate of Newark Arts High School and Rutgers University, Jones has electrified audiences locally and internationally, performing jazz songs with stylings influenced by Billie Holiday, Sara Vaughn and Nancy Wilson.
This free event is sponsored by the Springfield Avenue Partnership and hosted at Astah’s Fine Art Gallery, 1897 Springfield Avenue from 6-8 pm.
Light refreshments will be served.
