Time to get your plants on!

2011 marks the 74^th anniversary of the Maplewood Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale, known around the state as the best plant sale of the year.

The plant material is exceptional — annuals, perennials, woodland plants, herbs, vegetables, heirloom tomatoes, hanging baskets, member-grown plants and houseplants — with most below market prices. Friendly and knowledgeable Garden Club members are on hand to give help and advice.

All proceeds are funneled back into the community for supporting students and education in environmental studies, beautifying the Township, stimulating interest in gardening and other horticultural pursuits.

The sale opens Thursday, May 5  from noon to 8 p.m., and continues Friday, May 6  from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale takes place rain or shine at Maplewood Community Pool Parking Lot, 187 Boyden Avenue (off Springfield Avenue), Maplewood, New Jersey, 07040.
