Great Twist on the Gift of Giving

It's 'Toys FROM Tots', thanks to one super 6-year old!

When Sadie Munoz, a kindergartner at Clinton School, realized she still hadn't opened some of her Hanukkah presents - two weeks after receiving them - she came up with a wonderfully thoughtful thought: A POST Holiday Toy Drive.

With her mom's help, this resourceful 6-year old approached her classmates with a clever twist on donating; "Bring a Toy, Get a Treat" - For each new toy brought in, kids were invited to take a reward left by the donation box.

Sadie's Clinton classmates responded with gusto, and the collected goods will be donatated to Ronald McDonald House in Long Branch.

"I'm genuinely proud that she recognized the importance of putting others before herself," says Sadie's proud mom, Alanna Kaplan Munoz. "She came up with the idea and had the excitment and conviction to influence her peers to be generous, as well."

What a wonderful way to stretch the magic of the holiday season into the new year. Great work, Sadie!
