H1N1 Clinics Scheduled for January 17 and 28

The two clinics are open to a broader range of clients and include thimerosal-free vaccines.

The next H1N1 vaccination clinic sponsored by the Maplewood Health Department will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. Preregistration is required.

Preregistration for this clinic will start on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at 9:00 a.m.  Registration can be done at the Maplewood Town Hall or by calling 973-762-8120 x4400 and speaking to a public health nurse.

The vaccine that is available at this clinic is the injectable thimerosal-free Sanofi vaccine. This vaccine if for all people ages 4 years and up.

Please note that the prior restrictions for health conditions as listed by the Federal Centers for Disease Control and New Jersey State Health Department, no longer apply, and any person requesting to be vaccinated can be vaccinated.  Thus, healthy adults and seniors age 65 and over can now receive vaccination.

Children ages 4 years to nine years in need of a booster vaccination can attend this clinic.

When calling, please leave a clear short message with your name and phone number. We will call you back. Please repeat your phone number so that we can get it right.

Informed consent information and permission forms will be available at the Maplewood Township web site,www.maplewoodnj.org, and at the www.somsd.k12.nj.us Board of Education web site. Please complete permission forms and bring them with you to the clinic.   

A second H1N1 nasal spray booster clinic will be held on Thursday, January 28 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Maplewood Town Hall. This clinic is for healthy children ages 2 to 9 years who are in need of a H1N1 booster vaccination.  Telephone 973-762-8120 x4400 to register.
