interACT Announces 2012-2013 Season

Plus, the theater company's annual benefit will take place June 15-16; auditions coming up soon.

 

interACT Theatre Productions, a community theater based in Maplewood/South Orange, has announced its 2012-2013 season. The company asked audience members to vote on Facebook for shows they wanted to see.  Here are the results:

  • The Crucible (Fall 2012)
  • Steel Magnolias (Winter 2013)
  • The Full Monty (Spring 2013)

The company also will present a Children's Theater production in the early winter of 2012. Children will be invited to participate in the show, which will be announced soon. 

Also, to conclude the 2011-2012 season, interACT is holding its annual Musical Revue Benefit from June 15-16 at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts. "interACT Sings! Big Screen to Broadway" will feature favorite songs from musicals that have been produced on the stage as well as screen.  

Auditions for the benefit will take place on Sunday, May 6th from 1-5 p.m. at the Burgdorff, as well as on Tuesday, May 8th from 7-10 p.m. All are welcome to audition, and signups are available online here. Auditionees are asked to prepare one ballad and one up-tempo piece, and to wear comfortable clothing to move in.
