Library Volunteers Receive Tea and Appreciation

Maplewood Memorial Library staffers hosted the annual volunteer appreciation tea this past Tuesday, Nov. 15 in the Durand Room at the main branch.

"It's a nice event," wrote librarian Robyn L. Whalen. " We get a lot of turn out from staff and we will be hosting approximately 15 volunteers. The staff brings in all the baked goods and beverages."

Director Jane Kennedy gave the volunteers her heartfelt thanks and asked each to introduce herself and give her years of service (see video). Kennedy will be retiring by year's end. Her last day is Dec. 23.

The volunteers in attendance included: Dorothy Engel (a Millburn resident), Mary Jane Wax (of West Orange), Elise Grebe, Louise Patterson, Barbara Sanok, Amy Popp, Nancy Thelot, Sharon Rogers, Joan Crystal, Emily Bibbins, Mimi Fogel, Margaret Dooley, Judy Lewis, Corinne Newman-Williams, Ellen Dreyer, Kiki Ide, Nancy Somer and Nancy Galt.
