Maplewood Gets a Nod on Prairie Home Companion
Just five days after his visit to the 'wood, Keillor puts our town in a comedy sketch.
When Garrison Keillor visited Words Bookstore on Monday night, he made quite the impression on the one hundred plus fans crammed into the independent bookseller's basement.
Apparently we made an impression on him too.
Keillor had a little fun with Maplewood last night in a comedy sketch on A Prairie Home Companion. Read the transcript and/or listen to the MP3 file here.
Did you find it funny? Or was it off the mark? Take our poll or tell us in the comments.

Humor is in the ear of the beholder!
Actually, I think the sketch began well, but the "Emily" character is a broad New Jersey stereotype that doesn't really reflect Maplewood.
