Maplewood House Tour on the Horizon

Hankering for spring? Help hasten its arrival — nominate your favorites for the Maplewood House Tour, coming May 1.

Just what the doctor ordered on a cold winter's day: Dreams of spring complete with tours of topnotch local real estate.

The Maplewood Rotary is gearing up for its Annual House Tour, coming on Sunday, May 1.

"We are still looking for a few more unique homes to add to the tour," writes Caroline Gosselin of the Mapelwood Rotary, who is putting out a call out for nominations. Gosselin added, "We could also use volunteers on the day of if anyone is interested."

Gosselin noted that you can nominate your own home or a special house that you know of.

"We are looking for homes that are architecturally interesting, perfectly presented, newly restored or beautifully renovated, large, small and in between! We’d like to hear about interesting and unique homes from all over town that make Maplewood the special place that it is."

The House Tour is one of the Maplewood Rotary Club’s major fundraisers. This year’s tour will feature up to six homes. All proceeds benefit Maplewood Beautification Projects. Past projects have included the Maplewood signs at the major entraces to town, the Downtown Post Office and Highland Place benches, the clock at Ricalton Square — as well as the chess table there and the tree used for the holiday lighting.

If you have any questions or are interested in taking part in the house tour, please contact: Carol Gilligan at cmgilligan@verizon.net or (973) 951-2772, Christian Quaritius (cquaritius@verizon.net) or Caroline Gosselin (caroline_gosselin@hotmail.com).
