Anybody who's anyone in Maplewood business was at the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce Business Card Exchange at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday evening, Feb. 28.

The room was so bursting — with 100 attendees or more — and boisterous that it was hard to keep the crowd quiet for John Harvey's brief networking training session “The Other Side of the Card."

The Township of Maplewood and the Maplewood Police Department were two of the more interesting tables at the event. The Township was promoting business-friendly services such as the upcoming Maplewood Restaurant Week and a March 9 workshop on how to do business with the town. The PD provided information on neighborhood watches, business safety and more.

Besides the terrific networking opportunities, the highlight of the evening came when Chamber President Rene Clawson called out Cynthia Sanders name as the winner of an iPad. Clawson said that Sanders would be receiving an iPad 3 (Apple has set its launch for March 7).

The iPad giveaway was sponsored by: Clawson Architects, Woolley Fuel, Bass Family Chiropractic, Beth Daugherty, Rosenberg Rich Baker Berman, Keller Williams, Verjus, Vic DeLuca, Caroline Gosselin-Coldwell Banker Short Hills.
