Maplewood/South Orange First Night Celebrates 20 Years

Family-oriented New Year's Eve event centers around Maplewood Middle School this year.

This New Year’s Eve, Maplewood & South Orange First Night celebrates its twentieth anniversary — with a new central venue. All events will take place at the Maplewood Middle School (last year's celebration centered around South Orange Middle School), with the exception of the fireworks which will take place in Memorial Park (natch!).

Highlights of the evening include a circus, various arts and crafts opportunities, the fireworks, and a concert by folk singer Livingston Taylor.

Wristbands are $10 in advance ($11 online); the bands get you into all the evening’s events. Children under three get in free. Wristbands are available for purchase at Maplewood Main Branch Library, South Orange Public Library, Maplewood Kings, and Cold Stone Creamery in South Orange.

Seats are limited, so order or purchase your wristbands now!
