Maplewoodian: Budget Cuts 6 Fire, Police Jobs
Latest layoffs are in addition to 17 already announced.
The Maplewood township committee is laying off three police officers and three firefighters as part of a cost-cutting plan, Mayor Victor de Luca announced Sunday. That's in addition to the 17 layoffs already announced.

How do you advertise a Chiefs test for new police. Take $50.00ea from 150 aplicants. Then Lay off three Police officers. You are putting the citizens of Maplewood at danger by laying off police and fire fighter. With all the Grant money avialable to secure Police jobs why hasn't the town taken advantage of the programs avialable.??????
