Maplewoodstock: Peace, Love, Music

Annual festival runs through Sunday in Memorial Park

After last weekend's July 4th celebration, Memorial Park may not quite have the vibes of Max Yasgur's farm, but for two days peace and love will prevail as the annual Maplewoodstock festival, sponsored by Maplewood Online, offers food, crafts, and lots and lots of music.

Folk singer Jonathan Edwards (remember his bitter "Sunshine"?) is the headliner Saturday, at 8:30, while Marshall Crenshaw is the main act on Sunday, at 5:30. The music runs from noon until 8:30 p.m. today and from noon until 7 p.m. Sunday (See below for a list of bands and times).

But Maplewoodstock is much more than music. More then 50 vendors will have booths to display their offerings, ranging from jewelry, beads and art to yoga, designer clothing and face painting.

There's also lots of food from Sona, Churrasco, Freeman's, New World Catering and Panda Kitchens.
