Big step in the right direction. However, NJT has done absolutely nothing for its riders who normally commute to Hoboken or Jersey City. It would be nice if they could route at least one of these shuttle buses they've set up there.

Are the buses still going to be running to Liberty State Park as well?

Dan, as far as I know, yes. The trains will likely be extremely crowded tomorrow, so NJT is suggesting commuters still use alternate options such as busses, ferries etc.

What about returning? Are trains running back from NY Penn as well, or is this only one way?

See the NJT schedule.

7:04 pulled in at 7:30. With the heavy fog, really not much worse than a normal day would have been. Glad they started on a holiday, though.

currently on a train heading into NYP. Everything is significantly delayed. I suggest following @NJ_Transit and @NJTransit_ME on Twitter for updates. Trains aren't too crowded either...yet.

Bailed on MidTown Direct at 6:45 a.m. after substantial delays announced. Drove into Newark Penn via Springfield Ave and parked at lot in front of the Pru Center. Acceptable alternative.

Carolyn, which town that has the jitneys resumed? Do you know about Livingston Primetime Shuttle from Livingston Mall to South Orange? Is that running to sync with the modified schedule too?

It banks for the info. I think I'll remain tminb the bus from the city, only because I went to NYP to take the 6:44 train into Maplewood which was a Dover train , along with the Summit trains were delayed and I couldn't wait around chancing being late for work but I'm sure by the end of the week into nxt things will be running much better .
