Maplewood Village was buzzing with activity this weekend, as people were out to shop, dine and gather to mark the beginning of the fall season.
Tenth Muse Gallery held a Trunk Show and Wine Reception to highlight the work of artist Tara O’Leary, and Andrea Panico of Pico Jewelry Design. Customers browsed -- and bought -- jewelry and watercolors, while sipping wine and mingling.
Across the street, Coda was buzzing as always. Patch got to sample a current special, the Heirloom Tomato Salad, which tastes as incredible as it looks. Get it before tomato season comes to a close. Owner Luke Finn said to look for more locally grown and produced food coming up on the restaurant's menu.
On the corner of Maplewood Avenue and Inwood Place, Olive & Lizzy is close to opening but has already been attracting a steady stream of window shoppers admiring the displays of funky, fresh clothes and accessories.
On Saturday, village officials attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for Click! Tutoring and Learning Center at 168 Maplewood Village. Patch will have more on the new business coming up.
