A Fairview Terrace couple was robbed shortly after they pulled their car into the driveway of their home, according to Mapledwood police.

The couple told officers that as they arrived home and parked their car last Wednesday, shortly after 7:30 p.m., a black male wearing a white T-shirt reached into the car from the passenger side and grabbed the woman’s purse from the front seat.

Police say the suspect, described as about six feet tall and muscular, escaped into an older model white four-door automobile that was waiting for him at the end of the driveway. The car was last seen on Sagamore Road driving towards Wyoming Avenue. No one was injured in the incident.
