It’s good that this theft was thwarted and everything, but if the guy pulled it off, it would have been one of the smoothest hijackings ever. It sounds like something that wouldn’t even register as a crime for most eyewitnesses.
On Friday, September 11, a man in a blue or black Volvo semi-truck drove into a Camptown Road Warehouse and hooked the truck up to a trailer full of goods. An alert yard switcher saw the man, and approached him. Upon questioning, the truck driver was not able to provide paperwork for the trailer.
The man, police say, disconnected his truck from the trailer in a hurry and fled towards Chancellor Ave.
