Not working fast enough I still don't have power on porter road what's up with that

Carolyn, you might want to post a volunteer opportunity. Newark councilman Ronald Rice posted on Facebook that they need volunteers to help prepare and package hot meals for seniors Saturday and Sunday 10-4 at Speedway School on S. Orange Ave. It's the brand new school on left side of street just before the Garden State Parkway so close to home.

Still dark and cold on Park Road...and getting colder.

What concerns me is that I am not seeing power trucks. I am especially not seeing any at the blown transformer on Prospect and Harvard!

No power on Tuscan Street. It's cold and very difficult to live like this. How can we expect the children to be cold all night and go to school in the morning. We were not prepared for this.

Power still out in the Seth Boyden area. Power line and tree still down on Henry Place. Are we the ones due to get power back on Nov, 9th?

Haven't so much as seen a pseg truck on Jefferson Ave. the problem we have is that Maplewood is not densely populated enough to be a priority for pseg. Though I saw they restored the golf course. No heat but we can golf at night.

I'm pissed off. I am praying for patience! The whole hood is on, and not Maplewood something is wrong here!!!!!

November 9th is not acceptable, especially with the threat of a potential nor'easter on the way.

Does anyone know if power is back on Roosevelt rd. in Maplewood? We get back from London on Monday..

Tholl, chill. She's frustrated and anxious like everybody else, and is allowed to vent.

The issue on restoration is simple math: they want to restore power to as many people as possible with each repair. That means more densely populated areas (like the "hood") are likelier to see restoration first. Frustrating for us, but makes sense.

It would be good of they could give us a better sense of time frame. If we're talking a week people may need to make plans to relocate temporarily.

They listed Hilton Area has a restored area. I live in the Hilton area and we are still with out power. We have not seen a single PSEG truck in our area. When I called PSEG they said we were on the blanket time frame of between November 9th thru November 15th restoration.

I think the most frustrating thing here is the lack of information. If they said "your power will be back on day x" then I could make all the decisions and reservations appropriate.

But instead it's a blanket disclaimer with an out - customers in the hardest areas might take longer. But who knows if it will be sooner or longer? My house wasn't hit hard, but the while town seems to be out. Are we a hard-hit area?

No trucks in site on Baldwin Rd, summit or Richmond. Downed lines over here.

Entire section between springfield and parker on east side of prospect seems out. Is that correct?

No power on Oakland road near Springfield... Totally cold and tired. Can't imagine more of this for much longer!

Those of us in Winchester Gardens are still cold, hungry, starved for any updates and/or news and are angry! Many of us have left and sought refuge with friends and family elsewhere. But there are many for whom this was not possible. Certainly this community of elderly residents should have had a priority status! Dodie

No power on Laurel Avenue near Meadowbrook Road. We lost power 2 pm Monday.

No power in the Tuscan School and College Hill area. we lost power around 7pm Monday night. lots of large trees are down - significant roof damage.

No power still in hillcrest Rd., between fernwood and orchard. I'm afraid that ours will be considered an individual problem, and that we'll get left behind from the rest and have our electricity the last to be restored.
