Recycling Made Fun at Clinton School

The students repurposed newspapers, fliers, magazines and bottle caps to make hats. Then they had a parade!

Clinton School students celebrated Earth Day in fashion today—or we should say with fashion.

Students in all grades used recycled materials to make hats, some of which even advertised messages about saving the planet. Materials included plastic bottle caps and old newspapers and magazines. Many of the students also carried and played musical instruments made from recycled materials.

The children paraded around the school grounds chanting slogans such as "Save the Earth!" and "Save our planet!"

Our favorite was, "Save the Earth and it won't be hurt!" Listen to the video and you'll also hear one little peacenik chanting, "No more war!"
