A third defendant in the 2007 schoolyard murder of three college students accepted a plea agreement Friday, officials from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. Morristown resident Shahid Baskerville may face a 30-year prison sentence after his plea to four counts of robbery, one count of conspiracy and one count of aggravated criminal sexual contact in connection with the Aug. 4, 2007 triple murder in Newark.

Gov. Chris Christie announced Thursday the state would distribute 37 Shelter Support grants totaling $3.83 million in state and federal funding to transitional housing programs statewide, according to a release.
