Snow, It's Time to Shovel Along. Really.

Baby, it's getting OLD outside.

Here's a little Monday melody aimed at warming your spirits! (Sung to the tune of "Walking in a Winter Wonderland.")

Go away, frozen white stuff,
'Here to stay's making life tough.
Slid down the back stairs,
And bruised like a pear.
I can't wait until you melt away.

I'm blistered from the shoveling,
Now rock salt's price is doubling.
More yellow than not,
You're looking like rot.
I can't wait until you melt away.

This is Maplewood, NOT Alaska,
Let's not confuse Sarah P.
She'll say: Wait - a deer hunt?!
We'll say: Oh, no!
Call DiVincenzo - please just let us be!

Now the salt's trashing my floors,
Please, I can't take it much more.
To face I'm afraid,
The damage it's made.
I can't wait until you melt away.

Memorial is a heinous ice ramp,
Still the kids beg to go there on their sleds.
Watching them I've bitten all my nails off,
Quite sure that their next 'run' will crack their heads!
