There may still be snow on the ground, but as of this weekend, the South Orange/Maplewood Bicycle Coalition's (SOMbike) website is up and running.

You'll see a blog about cycling to Trader Joe's in sub-degree temperatures by Maplewood's Go-To Bike Guy, Tom Reingold, maps of local bike routes, a calendar of upcoming SOMbike events that are free and open to the public, links to bike-friendly sites, safety tips and much more.

The South Orange/Maplewood Bicycle Coalition, formed in October 2009, is a citizen-based advocacy organization that aims to make our towns safe and welcoming for bicyclists. Its members are of bicyclists, commuters, parents, businesspeople, planners, and advocates for the full potential of our towns.
