State Now has Localized Version of The Onion
The Jersey Backup, a new fake news site, launches. And it's not bad.
Jersey Backup, a new news parody site guided by former Star-Ledger reporter Greg Saitz, has launched. The fake stories on the site are written in an agreeably wry tone, and with a refreshingly informed view of the Garden State (i.e., no jokes about "joisey").
So far, the best headline to appear on the Jersey Backup is "NJ DOT Budget Cut in Half, Route 78 Is Now Route 39."
