Thanksgiving with Four Generations of Maplewoodians

Revisiting Thanksgiving with the extended Gianni/Sinclair family of Maplewood.

This story and related photos first ran on Maplewood Patch on November 27, 2011. We thought they were so good that they deserved another day in the sun.

Many in Maplewood are familiar with Claire Sinclair. She taught preschool at Morrow for several years and has been a kindergarten teacher at Tuscan Elementary for the past three years. While Claire grew up in Maplewood, husband Dave grew up in South Orange (they met at CHS, as did Claire's parents). Her parents, Charlie and Ellie Gianni, operate the Maplewood Stationers store on Maplewood Avenue, and Claire has previously contributed photos to Matters magazine.

Yesterday, the Sinclair family visited friends in Chatham for a game of football. Then "only 16" family members gathered for food, fun and photos at Sinclair's parents' house in Maplewood. In one photo, you will find four generations--Sinclair, her sons Drew and DJ, her father Charlie and her 95-year-old grandmother Clara.

Enjoy!
