Artist Doreen Valenza says the idea for her current series of paintings started out as aliens wearing jewelry. Twin aliens, actually, since she's a Gemini.
But somehow their feet seemed more interesting than their faces, hence the name of the show at Express Yourself Studios, "Feet Landing."
The jewelry, on the other hand, sprang off of the canvas into another dimension.
