Tax Reassessment and Nostalgia This Week in Maplewood

Here's a look at what's coming up in town this week.

 

 

The Maplewood Farmers Market is open today from 2-7 p.m. on Springfield Avenue at Indiana Street.

 

The Maplewood Township Committee will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Town Hall. The meeting will feature an information session with representatives from Appraisal Systems, Inc., which is conducting the township's tax reassessment

The public will be able to ask questions about the process in person, via email livemeeting@twp.maplewood.nj.us or by phone (973-762-8120, ext. 4902 or 4903). The meeting will be broadcast live on Comcast Channel 35, Verizon FIOS Channel 24. 

 

Sign up for Play Guitar! Tuesday and Wednesday at the 1978 Gallery at 1978 Springfield Ave. Sign-up costs $20, and the 10-class session costs $200. Classes, which will teach basic guitar techniques, will take place Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.

 

On Friday from 7:30-9 p.m., author Griffin Hansbury will come to Words Bookstore at 179 Maplewood Ave to discuss his new book, The Nostalgist.

Goodie, let's waste taxpayers' money on reassessing a revaluation done a year ago. Hey, then maybe we can reassess the reassessment next year? Apart from Ryan, does anyone on this TC even have a brain? This is a serious question.
