Whitney Houston Mourned at Church Where Her Singing Career Began

Area residents reflect on passing of iconic singer

Hundreds gathered at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark early Sunday to mourn singer Whitney Houston, who began her public singing career as a member of the church's junior gospel choir at age 11.

Many said they were also there to show their support for the Houston family, including her mother, Cissy, who is an active member of the congregation.

"I heard her sing in this church, many times. It was awesome," said longtime parishioner Karen Winfield of West Orange, who referred to the singer's "impetuous smile."

Parishioner Daneen Grayson said Houston's battle against drug abuse "were her struggles, that was between her and God," a sentiment heard often this morning by worshipers filing past a gaggle of reporters into the church.

Sunday's 6:45 a.m. service was an opportunity for the New Hope community to mourn one of its own and to offer support for Houston's mother and other members of the family, who remain active with the century-old congregation.

"We ask for everyone to continue to lift up the Houston family with your prayers," Pastor Joseph Carter told reporters outside the church Sunday morning. "The family shared Whitney with the world but Whitney was a mother, daughter, sister, and that is the focus we want to maintain."

Carter also said he had "no word" on funeral arrangements.

Mourners left flowers in the metal railing of the fence outside the chrurch. A large crowd of reporters and TV crews were kept at a distance from the entrance. Reporters were not allowed inside for the service.

The public address system played a medley of the singer's hit songs.

Houston was found dead in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel Saturday afternoon. She was 48.

The service at New Hope Baptist was dedicated to the Newark native, whose family later moved to East Orange after the 1967 Newark riots. Houston later owned a home in Mendham Township, where she and her family lived for many years.

Newark Mayor Cory Booker called Houston a "deep part our pride and collective heart."

"A legend has died. As the world mourns the loss of one of the all-time greats, we in Newark feel an especially deep sadness," he said in a written statement. "She will be missed. Our prayers are with her family."

Yes, God help her family and friends through this horrible tradgedy. Her voice was one of a kind, I saw her perform in the 80s in Ft. Lauderdale, my son remembers the concert and remembers it and he was only 6 years old. We were truly shocked and sad she died at such a young age. God take care of her - I know you will.

Outsiders do not know what the family goes thru, the pain, tears, begging the person to stop, putting them in rehab so very many times. But as the family is told no one can help the person until they want help..and itis extremely hard for the person to stay sober. My heart goes out for her whole family.

I agree with Tramm no one knew her hurt better than Jesus. Some people can be idiots and cause more pain and gossip to a mourning family. What if it was you or one of your family member would you want the world to criticize and gossip about what you or your family member was doing or had done. And to the person that stated that fame and money can cause pressure, what about the ones who doesn't have fame or money so how would you gossip about them?!!!!

YOU PEOPLE ARE PATHETIC,...
MISINTERPRETING SCRIPTURE, PRAISING PEOPLE INSTEAD OF UNDERSTANDING TRUE PRAISE, OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO HIM ALONE BE THE GLORY AND HONOR NOT SOME PERSON WHO HAD HER CHANCE,
INSTEAD ONCE AGAIN,... THINKING THAT SINGING FOR THE WORLD BRINGS GLORY AND PRAISE ??
BUT TO CHRIST !! AND HIM ALONE BE THE GLORY !! JESUS SAID " UNLESS YOU DRINK MY LIFE ! AND EAT MY LIFE ! YOU CAN HAVE NO PART IN ME ! "
and it say's after that " FROM THAT HOUR ON MANY OF HIS FOLLOWERS LEFT HIM ( JESUS ) BECAUSE THE SAYING WAS TOO HARD FOR THEM "
Whitney made her choice, she unfortunately chose wrong,..... I hope she was saved, for her sake,... but by the spirit and her choices, ( LIving in the world, Being called a star, living for the money, drugs, alchohol, abusive behaviour towards others and her self and the list goes on and on ) I believe she is NOT in the presence of GOD. Wake up people !! GOD IS NOT CHANGING HIS WAYS, HIS WORDS, HIS BELIEFS AND CHARACHTER, AND WHAT HIS SON !! DIED FOR !!! TO SUIT YOU !!!!
REPENT OF YOUR WICKED WAYS AND BE SAVED !!!

I loved Whitney, but I love the Lord Jesus Christ Lord and Savior more. I certainly, understand your point, but you misquoted Scripture. Lord Jesus said, "Drink My Blood", and "Eat My Flesh". His statement is symbolic of internalizing The Word Made Flesh (Himself) and for mankind to receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit through Belief in the Only begotten Son of God, Repentance of Personal Sin, and Water Baptism for forgiveness and a clear conscience towards God. We are taught to renew our MIND (Thinking) and to live our days on earth walking by the Spirit of God, (dwelling inside and outside) of us, in Faith, Love, and Obedience to His Royal Majesty. We must read the Word to internalize TRUTH, Wisdom, Understanding, and the Power of God. Though the Lord of Hosts is the Only Creator of Life, every human being does not belong to Him, Spiritually Speaking. Eternal Life is only given to those people, past, present and future whose names are found written in the Lambs Book of Life.--Selah

I saw the video of Whitney singing the day before she died. Jesus Loves Me. OMG that was so beautiful. She loved the Lord and he loved her. Satan just kept getting in the way. I believe that she cried out to God in her time of need. She is now singing with that gift of hers unto the Lord. Yes, I believe she is in the presence with the Lord. She is singing onto the Lord and all the Angels. I can just see her. Check out the video on Youtube and see for yourself how much she loved him.

The word "pathetic" is a synonym for you Paul Stolpinski. I pray that on your dying day someone will feel the loss of you in the way that Whitney's fans feel her loss. Maybe in this way God will forgive your dumb, inappropriate, radical, and overall prejudicial statements. Don't throw stones at glass houses for it may be your house that comes crumbling down. Whitney, you brought me many happy memories. I met you in New York just before your South African tour. You were wonderful then, and I will always remember your kindness toward my children.

First I have to say, if you are going to use scripture, please use it correctly. Don't make God ashamed because you don't know how to quote it right and use it out of context. Secondly, most of the comments made are made by people who only know what they have heard on the news. Thirdly, none of us have a "heaven" or "hell" to put her in. Fifthly, for people to be so insensitive to the family is just cruel, because you don't know what she said to God, or what she did before she shut her eyes, were you there? Stop living in someone else's past and find out what's true and what's not. Realize this before you pass judgment on someone else...JUDGE NOT THAT YE BE NOT JUDGED...FOR WITH WHAT JUDGMENT YE JUDGE, YE SHALL BE JUDGED: AND WITH WHAT MEASURE YE METE, IT SHALL BE MEASURED TO YOU AGAIN." Matthew 7:1,2,,,

Hey Brother you need some help with that log stuck in your eye ? Seems your still sipping that milk when it comes to the Holy Scriptures. So drop that stone and pick up your Bible , get on your knees, humble yourself (that might be the hard part for you) and ask God to create in YOU a clean heart. Then you may be able to "Love one another" as Jesus told you to. My prayer is that you are able to get some revelation about your self-righteous anger and judgement. Why would anyone want to know Jesus if they think all Christians are like you ? Do you not believe that Jesus would leave the 99 other sheep to go find the one lost ? Where do you think Whitney's wonderful gifts came from ?
As a Christian we mourn with those who mourn. And I am praying for & mourning with the Houston Family. Whitney was part of the Beloved ( Song of Solomon Chapt. 4), no matter how fragile or broken. No more shackles, no more chains for Whitney !
Have you never lost anyone you love , Paul ? You have much to learn.

Hello Paul, I need to know did God give you the keys to a HEAVEN OR HELL to put anyone in? Who are you to say who's in the presence of God and who's not? Did Whitney Houstone tell you she was not saved? Or is this God speaking using the name Paul Stolpinski?......I didn't think so because God is a man a wisdom, He speaks at the right time all the time and He deals with people where they are and not where outsiders think they are!!! Bobby Brown did not turn Whitney into anything that she was not already. No one is saying that he was good for her. She was a grown woman. Her family is responsible for nothing. I just love how some feel that family is accountable for a person's lousy choices in life! Whitney had a child and could not stop using drugs even for her. It is very sad that she died. However. it is no one's fault but her own. Stop blaming the family! They are suffering enough!

Remember using drugs is a personal choice. Whitney loved Bobby, and if he made her happy then I am glad he was in her life. Drug abuse can be impossible for some to escape. I loved Whitney, and I am glad I had a chance to experience her music. Blaming those that she loved and the ones that loved her is just wrong.

THE HARSHNESS OF MY TONE IS TWO FOLD,.... I HAVE BEEN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TRACKS,... BUT THERE ARE CHOICES,...... THE OTHER SIDE IS THAT FOR FAR TOO LONG I KEEP HEARING PEOPLE PRAISE ALL OF THESE FALSE DEMAGODS< THINKING AND ACTING LIKE THEY ARE GOD,.... UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS ESPECIALLY PERVASIVE IN THE BLACK CHURCHES OF AMERICA,.. WHO SAY THEY ARE CHRISTIAN BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN MY PERSONAL EXPEIRIENCE THAT THEY FUNCTION OUT OF MORE EMOTIONALISM AND THEATRICS,... MANY MANY WHITE CHURCHES ARE ALSO JUMPING ON THIS SAME BAND WAGON< THAT SOME HOW JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND WEEPING IN THE ISLES MAKES THEM MORE SPIRITUAL,...
FOLKS,.... JESUS CHRIST !! DID NOT SHED HIS BLOOD AT CALVARY FOR PEOPLE TO SOMEHOW CONJOUR UP SOME EMOTIONAL SPIRITUAL ORGAZMIC RELEASE THAT IS FLESHLY, DEPRAVED, CARNAL, AND DEMONIC ! UNFORTUNATELY TOO MANY OF YOU WILL FIND THIS OUT,..... IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ROMANS ,CHAPTER 4, 5,6,7,8, AND HEBREWS Chapter 11,12.13 and GALATIANS CHAPTER 1,2,3 I BELIEVE THAT THE TRUE GOSPEL IS STILL !! NOT BEING PREACHED IN THIS COUNTRY !! I AM SORRY IF I HAVE PEAVED ALOT OF YOU OFF, BUT DON"T BE MAD AT ME,... I AM JUST THE MESSENGER I DIDN'T WRITE THE BIBLE, I JUST CHOSE TO BELIEVE IN IT AND THE KINGDOM OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST !!

Those who jump up and down with emotion are not saved nor condemned because of it. It is what is in the heart. And it appears you have no heart. No sir you are not the mesenger. Jesus Christ is our messenger. We each hear and understand HIm But there has to be love and understanding before we can see what God wants.
Whitney was and is one of God's children. She may or may not be with God but only God knows that. You are not the judge. And just because she had problems in life does not mean He was not there with His arms held open for her. When you have no sins on you them I will listen. God is and will continue to be the only perfect person until he takes all of us. Until then it is just radical blubbering coming out of your mouth. You really need to get into the persence og God. Sounds to me like you are on the outside looking in at the moment.

People like you scare me. comparing a black and white church? Using caps to scream your hatred? We all have issues. Each journey, different. To understand another person's journey without judgement is a challenge, but I hope that when each person's time has come, that we remember them with compassion. You stated here that "you people are pathetic" and then said "Don't be mad at me, I am just the messenger" and you are right. you did not write the bible. The way each person interrupts the bible is according to their beliefs. To scream your interruption on others is pathetic. This thread is a tribute to a life. No matter how a person dies, cancer, diabetes, drug abuse, suicide, an accident, it is sad, compassion for the living family members a must. How have you felt when someone who made an impact on your life, passed away. No matter how anyone dies dies, they are still gone. Please remember you are not perfect and have shown so in your posts, but I leave the judgement of your life to you.

Yeah Paul,
But you can't just pick & choose PARTS of the Bible that fit your agenda. Jesus said let the wheat grow with the Chaff....and HE will separate them. Brother, come down off your throne.....that seat is taken. Speaking of seats have you never heard of the "Mercy Seat" ? Jesus said "Tell them the Good News" . I don't think you heard it. Your religious spirit is just like The Pharisees & the Sadducees.
Knowing some scripture and mis-quoting it doesn't make you a Christian. Lucifer knows scripture too. You need to check out about the love walk in Galatians 5 if you really are a Christian. Maybe that's why your fixated on condemnation.
God Bless You Paul there is still redemption for hateful & confused hearts like yours.

Each of us has to deal with demons every day. Most are able to control them, but others are controlled by the demon. Whitney was a talent beyond compare. God blessed her in so many ways. Satin, however, is a force too and he will use whatever means to get control of your life. Whether it was the drugs, alcohol, fame, the years of abuse, maybe all of the above, no one really knows what she was dealing with in side. My hope and prayer is that her death will not have been in vain. It’s a very sad day for her family and close friends. My sincerest condolences go out to all who knew her well her church members and her family. What is most difficult is that everyone on this side of the globe very likely saw this coming... and the frustrating part is that there was very likely very little that anyone could do about it. Anyone who has a loved one struggling with addiction very likely understands the struggle she went through and then the helplessness of those around her that loved her. My prayers are to her family and friends ... remember the good times you cherished and the joy she shared with the world.

i really did like whitney houston. i grew up in newark. but, i have to say. i am not surprised she died. i am not surprised when any of them die. but what i dont understand is when people keep talking about the pressure they are under. i wish i had a bodygard, a cook, a trainer, people to drive me around. what pressure. i live on 67k a year. i have pressure i have trouble paying for health insurance. when these primadonas stop using drugs and thank God for all they have been given in their life we will all be a lot better. this woman has left a devastated child and people are now making her out to be a saint. she was a crack head. if she was not famous she would be just a dead crack head. stop making drug addicts into saints. we will miss her beautiful voice and the hopes that she would make a comeback. but she made her choices in life and death. rip whitney.

At the present time we don't know how Whitney died. I understand her history, but I have experienced many deaths that were not what was originally believed. There is a lot of judgment and condemnation being thrown around. God hasn't grown weary of judgment and asked for help. We can trust God to do right.

God Bless Whitney and her family. This is such a tragic loss of such a beautiful woman with a voice from heaven. I was shocked when I first heard the news last night. As far as any comment's that are in bad taste, I would ignore them. There are many fools in this world, and they are not worth anyones time. WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS WHITNEY!

I truly feel God has another purpose for Whitney and He called her home early in life for that purpose. I hope the media and haters (sad people with no life) can refrain from saying negatve things that really do not comfort Whitney's family, friends and her fans, and allow us to greive in peace.

miller sman,,,,,,,,,, your comment sure was callous at this time, is it possible that you feel guilty about losing some one in your family ? The reason I ask is that I lost my brother due to very heavy cigarette smoking , and looking back I wish I wouldve intervened......... but Frankie had free will, he was a man who made his own decisions. I think of that song by Sade "Frankie"....... as for Miss Whitney Houston. I never met her, but I felt so saddened by the news,I got out my cd;s and I played her music,,,,,, remembering the time whgen I saw her first album (on vinyl) at a record store on Sinclair Lane in Baltimore (by the K-mart for those of who from Balto) show a little class millersman ,,,,,,,,,,show some compassion,,,,,,,,, remember we've all lost family that perhaps maybe we couldve intervened and helped,,,,,,,,,,, btw a country singer named Ronnie McDowell does a good cover of Whitneys; song "you give good love" we will see you in heaven Whitney singing with all the rest of the song birds from earth............ Deniece Williams would be a great one to do a tribute to Miss Houston,,,,,,,,, another beautiful song bird

I especially lift up Ms. Cissy Houston--I am a mother who has lost a child. No loss can compare. It has been fourteen years for me since my son died and it seems like just yesterday. Only God and time can make the hurt less painful. You have comfort in the love Whitney displayed and the love of her extended family--we her fans. I love you as a mother walking in your shoes. May God bless you and your family at this time.

It took a while to sink into me that our beloved Whitney Houston was gone. It took me back to the 80s and 90s because that was when I listened to her so popular songs and watched her on MTV. Until now I have downloaded her latest song "I look to you" and have once again become mesmorized by the voice and the soulfull performance. There was only one Whitney Houston. We mourn a great great loss of a splintered soul. May she rest in peace. God bless her daughter and the family.

To the Creator, we all belong and to Him alone shall we return. Whitney, you're now gone undoubtedly we are sure to follow. It amazes me how heaven is taking for granted, is it that easy, are there not any consequence; you die and heaven doors are wide open to accept you, regardless how to choose to live your life? NO, it is not so. The Creator does not accept that any partners be associated with Him in worship> "Hear, O Israel: the Lord is our God, the Lord is one," found in Deuteronomy 6:4.
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? None is good, save one, that is, God . Found in Luke 18:19
I'm not here to judge anyone, for the CREATOR of all creations is THE JUDGE, He will determine Whitney's final resting place.
May her death remind us that one day we too shall leave this temporary world, the glamours of this world are nothing but a mirage. It doesn't matter how luxurious your car may be, how big your home, how wives/girlfriends or children you have, one day it all will be left behind. All that matter is our CREATOR, so worship Him alone, and be grateful. What's the matter with you that you do not worship your Lord, who create you? My condolences to all her friends and family who loved her very much and peace.

Whitney was a beautiful person with a beautiful voice and the impact she made on the music industry and the world itself was simply.......beautiful. She had problems, true indeed, but the bible states "that he who is without sin let him cast the first stone". So I will just elaborate on the fact that the power and the energy felt behind the songs she sang was totally AWESOME. My condolences to the family. To her daughter use your Mother's legacy to find strength and peace as you live through out your daily life. She was truly an inspiration. To Whitney, rest in peace, your time here is done. You accomplished in one life time what some people could not do if they had the chance at ten. I could see you now with wings spread abroad singing on the first row in the Heavenly choir. Much love....you will be missed. KRB

When you get to fame in very young age, it's very dangerous, because all the vulture using the mask of a Lamb, are waiting to jump on them. They are naive and very ease prey. Sometimes the vulture come using they title as a doctor, some as a husband and others as best friend. For sure they know the best way to get to them and exploit them, and they will do it slowly and slowly make them a drug addict, after that, they will be a puppet in the vultures hands.Even with the total support of a family, the vulture will chasing them non stop, until they give in again. Have so many kind of vultures, ones from the streets others in high ends school - some under a doctor denomination, and it goes on and on... So... let us who have good memory of had dream so much listen to her voice, do what is supposed we do, pray for her soul and beg our Lord G'd to forgive her and bless her soul with peace and bless her family too, with faith and understanding of what she went through.

Was shocked when got the news. I know Whitney was a good person, even though she had a drug addiction. Just because shewas a star, does not mean she has problems, forinstance, Bobby caused her alot of stress during their marriage. She was always faithful and loved him. No one mentioned about medical drugs which so many doctors push onto their patients, until they become so addicted and can't do without it . I blame them just as well. Sometimes a ptient will forget they have already taken the pills that wa prescribed and will go for a second dose. Who knows what caused her addiction. My heart goes out to her family, and her daughter. It is not easy losing a child, the hardest thing in the world. RIP Whitney.

I was very sadden to hear about the death of Whitney Houston.. I would like to offer my condolences to Ms. Cissy Houston, Bobbi-Christina, Bobby Brown and all other family, friends and fans who are mourning Whitney's death. I would also like to say that it is very hurtful to read some of the comments blaming Bobbi Brown for Whitney's death. Lets not forget that we are all created by our creator God with the freedom to choose. Saying that Bobby may have enticed, encouraged, and/ or enabled Whitney to do hard drugs is insensitive. The decision to do or do not was entirely up to Whitney. The botton line is that the freedom to choose was NEVER taken away from her. It always seem easy to blame the next person for someone's death in situation (s) such as this, however we were never there to personally see what was going on. Please take a moment to read or re-read Genesis CH:3. To post condolences to Whitney's family and not include Bobby Brown is insensitive not only to Bobby, but to their daughter Bobbi-Christina. I am sure that she has more that enough to deal with at this particular time, let's not add to her pain by saying insensitive things that can cause her to HATE the only other parent she has left. I am sure that she loves both her parents and will be hurt by comments blaming her father for her mother's death. I pray that we will all allow the Lord to guide our thoughts as we share our condolences to Whitney's family

There are so many people out there who struggle with the disease of addiction. There are some who succeed in breaking it's hold and some who don't. When the addiciton takes over, it steals your personality, who you once were. Despite the pain that causes, there are family members out there who continue to love those afflicted. As a human being, I feel for her family and I am sad for her daughter. While it is true that her death is no more sadder that that of the nameless addict, it is always sad when the potential of a life is never realized and/or that life is cut short. Yes, it is true that she could have afforded the best treatment available but she was still in torment and was being pulled apart by addiction, While I understand the desire to do so, I think that to elevate her to angelic status (of course her voice was just that) is to do her memory a disservice. To make her out to be perfect is to deny her basic humanity and she did not deserve that, no one does. She should be remembered for what the general public knows of her: she was physically beautiful, supremely talented and flawed. (as we all are). She may have had an inner beauty too but, since I did not know her, I can not say that she did or did not. Those who personally knew the real her can decide that. We should all remember, however, that none of us are qualified to pass judgement on another and that in death, hopefully those who lack it, will find the peace that eludes them in life.

The news of Whitney's death is difficult. I was traveling back home and put a wow gospel 2010 cd in when the first song I heard was Whitney singing " I look to you" What I heard was a beautiful song crying out to God in repentance and comfort. She realized that in her stardom that amidst all of the glamor and fame that none should forsake the love of God, and that her on-going battle only He could remove. Surely the "Voice" as she is call will be missed and though we wrestle with how she died is irrevelant at this time... Let he that is without sin cast the first stone..Whitney no doubt will always be loved and adored by millions.... May the peace of God and His love cover the family and us as well.

What is natural to "the flesh" (the carnal nature) when we have been hurt or abused or insulted is to strike back, to plot revenge, or to simmer in bitterness. This is "only human". But God requires forgiveness, else He will NOT forgive us. If we are unwilling--or unable--to forgive, then there is no use asking God for what He has told us He will not give. For believers, dealing with the sin of unforgiveness is first priority.
Mark 11:25 (NIV) "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

U know what....where Whitney is is between her and God at this point. My best hope is that becuase she was saved that that decision to accept her Lord and Savior was not in vain. I just don't believe that the word of God is ever in vain and we know that Whitney knew the Word. If you listen to "I Look To You" Whitney sings...."As I lay me down, heaven hear my cry...I am lost without a cause after giving it my all and every road that was taken lead to my regret and I don't know if I am going to make it....who on earth can I turn to....I look to You." That is just chilling to me it is as if she was singing her own eulogy. It is exactly her life and she speaks of God. God is good even when we don't deserve it. Because I serve a loving God, I have to believe that he would have reached out to his daughter, Whitney, even if she was on drugs. He told her he loved her even in her very imperfect state. Seven days before Whitney died, I was watching The Preachers Wife and scenes of her singing in church...something came over me to pray for Whitney for some odd reason. My prayer was that God would touch her where ever she was and deliver her from darkness. Seven days later to the day, she was gone. People, we serve a merciful and loving God who is not like man. Whitney is with the angels, not because she was a saint but because she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Love & Peace to her family especially Bobbi Chris who I think should now change her last name 2 Houston.

The Narrow and Wide Gates
13“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:21-23
21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but --only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!
Luke 13:25

No one can strip us from God's hand As a christian you wanting her daughter to strip her name from her earthly father is not accurate. That would be dishonoring her father,,,he did nothing more wrong to deserve his daughter to do that to him she is his daughter forever and you cant take that from him even by removing his last name,,,,God gave that man his daughter and he gave her that name and so did Whitney respect Whitney as the mother and Bobby as the father Bobby and Bobby Christina learn from this grow stronger together as father and Daughter live life according to God's will not your own or according to other people Whitney is in God's hands now have faith in that.. know we serve a merciful god a wonderful God,,,God does not respect what people say,,,,and neither should you,,,,you cling to one another protect nurture love one another that is what God wants you to do,,,,not separate, dishonor you father or mother or even you self, let this be a message to grow closer together and closer to GOD.....

Why can't she be remembered and appreciated for the music she gave to us. She was a song bird, she inspired us with her gift of song even praising his name. Why do we have to harp on her weaknesses, how did that affect me or you? That affected the people who were around her, her family and loved ones, so its not our business to comment of it. We got the best of her...and she should be remembered for that...Whitney girl...you were my girl...I loved your music and will continue to listen to it and enjoy it...to the end of my time...
