Every Saturday during the month of February enjoy a special Black History Month lesson in art exploring a different African-American Master Artists (Alma Woodsey Thomas, Romare Bearden, Varnette P. Honeywood, David C. Driskell). This program is offered as part of Express Yourself’s Studio Saturday offering and is open to children ages 5-12.

More About Express Yourself Studios
Express Yourself Studios is a storefront art studio that offers studio time and instructional programs for children and adults — now in a new, expanded location at 1877 Springfield Avenue.
Fun and creative events like the monthly "BYOB Cocktails and Canvas" are aimed squarely at adult artists. Programs for children and teens range include "Fashion Illustration" and "Pizza and Pottery."
Besides their scheduled classes, the studio is also available for open studio time where artists can work on self directed projects, and for children's party rentals.
