Irene Dunsavage, well-known retired Maplewood art teacher, will conduct another art workshop for children ages 6-10 continuing the theme of "Looking, Seeing, Creating" at the Sandy Relief Fund Art Show at the Ethical Culture Society of Essex County, 516 Prospect Street, Maplewood.

"Children will observe the work of artists on display and we will focus on the elements that are integral to their work. Please bring pare towel tubes, cardboard pieces up to 11x 13 and observational skills!" - Irene Dunsavage

The Ethical Culture Society of Essex County is part of the American Ethical Union and takes as its guiding principle: "our highest human ideal is to act so as to elicit the best in others and thus ourselves." A main focus of the members is exploring philosophical and current questions of the day. 

The Essex County chapter, located at Prospect and Parker since 1951, has a had several leaders over the course of its history. Presently, the lay leadership is presiding at the weekly platform presentations and at special events. Boe Meyerson and Jim White are Leaders Emeriti.  Jim White now serves as Leader at another Ethical Culture Society in Riverdale, NY.
