Every Wednesday evening at 7:30pm we hold a Eucharist with healing prayers. We offer prayers for people whose names have been submitted as well as our own concerns. We offer annnointing with holy oil and specific prayers for those present and emphasize spiritual healing as a way of finding the strength and resolve to address the various physical, emotional and spiritual illnesses that confront us and those for whom we are asked to pray. All are invited to join us.

The motto of the church is "Our Parish is over 100 years old. Our thinking is not." You don't have to go very far back for proof. In 1993, Reverend Barry Stopfel, the first openly gay man to be ordained as a deacon by the Episcopal Church, became St. George's Pastor (he left in 1999, following a court case and national media attention).

And while it's not as historically seismic, the church's fundraising methods show the continued interest in innovation. One such innovation is the "Flamingo Flocking" efforts put on by the Dragons youth group. As part of this method, the yards of the church members are filled with pink flamingos, and members have to make charitable donations to remove them.

The same progressive spirit carries over to the church itself. It offers same-sex unions and the LGBTI Fellowship Group Amicus/Amica. Also, pre-service meditation sessions are offered in addition to traditional fare like Bible study groups.
