The Recreation & Cultural Affairs Department will be hosting a meeting at Maplecrest Park located off of Springfield Avenue in Maplewood. The purpose of this meeting is to talk to the skateboarders and neighbors about improving and possibly expanding the skate park facility. The meeting is at 6:30pm on August 20th. This is primarily an information gathering meeting to begin discussions and plans to improve the skate park.

More About Maplecrest Park
Maplecrest, located near the Hilton Branch of the Library on Springfield Avenue, is one of six public parks in Maplewood. Its playing fields and tennis courts make it a popular destination for town and area residents. Also, each summer, the Springfield Avenue Alliance holds its Mayfest festival in the park, which features live music and activities for children such as egg tosses and the moon bounce.
