There will be a concert at the Baird center on the 18th hosted by YouthNet, a local nonprofit. Students of the Maplewood/South Orange school district will be playing music and reading poetry. We will be having a canned and non-perishable food drive for charity. Admission is FREE if you bring items to donate. However it is $2 if you make no donations. All donations will be sent to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
There will be refreshments and student artwork up.
Please bring an item or two to donate and support the club. Your help is greatly appreciated

More About The Baird
The Baird is a century-old, Tudor-style building that houses the Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs' administrative offices. There's a theater space used by three companies: Dreamcatcher, Penny Pretzel Playhouse and Flying Ship. The Pierro Gallery is located in the building too. Outdoor facilities include eight lighted tennis courts and a lighted basketball court.
The Village's Senior Social Services Unit is also located in the building. The office is open Tuesday and Thursday, 10am - 4pm. Its phone number is 973-378-7766, ext. 2225.
