Patch has put together some things you need to know for Friday.

Summer will come to an end soon, and Friday, the end comes for the Maplewood Memorial Library's Summer Reading Club. The finale of the 2013 program will feature fun for all ages, according to the library website: The club gathering will offer games, prizes, face painting, a Pyramid-Maze-Obstacle course and more. Remember, this is the last reading club session of the summer—make sure your kids don't miss it. The free event takes place Friday from 11 am.-4 p.m. The library is at 51 Baker St. For more information, call 973-762-1622.

Looking for enlightenment? It may come from within. Explore the possibilities at Teaching and Transmission for Green Tara Practice, a special offering of Maplewood's Shakti Yoga and Living Arts. Three-decade Buddhism expert Lama Rangbar will lead in the teaching of Arya Tara, a practice that reveals the very nature of mind, the Buddha within and the enlightened qualities inherent in us all. The class runs Friday from 7:30-9 p.m. at Shakti Yoga, 1861 Springfield Ave. The suggested donation for the class is $20, which can be paid online. For details or to register, call 973-763-2288.
