Children's Singer 'Big Jeff' Comes To South Mountain YMCA

Learn about the 14 South Mountain YMCA camps.

Come find out why the South Mountain YMCA Camps consistently earn the highest survey ratings for both parent AND child satisfaction!  With both traditional and specialty camps, designed for ages 3 – 14 years, the South Mountain YMCA camps focuses on building self-esteem, confidence and social skills while increasing independence, health and wellness awareness.  A majority of our 14 camps are ACA- accreditedO, which means they have met up to 300 standards for health, safety, and program quality.  The American Camp Association is a leading authority in youth development and works to preserve, promote, and improve the camp experience. 

Mark your calendars for a Camp Open House scheduled on Friday, March 14th from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at the Y’s Program Center located at 13 Jefferson Avenue in Maplewood and enjoy a Campfire Sing-Along with Big Jeff. Children will enjoy S’mores and make an art project and sing the night away while parents get an overview of the daily schedules, planned trips and Camp Directors and staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.   

Whether it’s a traditional camp filled with sports, swimming, games and crafts, or a specialty camp like drama, global arts or golf, the South Mountain YMCA has a camp that’s right for you. All camps are built around the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Children ages 3 - 4 years old can enjoy a half day camp and campers in pre-school through 10th  grade can choose from 14 different camps that run from June 30th  - August 29th for most camps. Vacation Camp is available before camp starts and at the end of the summer.  Extended care is available from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm for most camps.
