Local Agent Robert Northfield Named Among America’s Top Real Estate Professionals By Wall Street Journal/Real Trends

ESSEX COUNTY, N.J.  – (July 25, 2013) – Broker Sales Associate Robert Northfield of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Maplewood has been recognized as one of America’s most successful real estate agents in the Wall Street Journal/Real Trends 2013 Top 1,000 report. Northfield ranked No. 230 on the list of the Top 250 individual sales professionals by closed transaction volume, closing approximately $54.7 million in sales in 2012. Northfield, who represents home buyers and sellers in Essex County and surrounding areas, previously made the Real Trends “Top Thousand” in 2011 and 2012.

The Real Trends Top Thousand ranks real estate agents and teams in four separate categories, each category rating the respective Top 250 for excellence as follows:

·         Individual Sales Professionals by Closed Transaction Sides (In each real estate transaction, there are two sides that can be represented by a real estate agent: a buyer’s and a seller’s).

According to Real Trends, the leading sales professionals in the Top Thousand averaged more than 140 closed transactions and over $50 million in closed sales volume. As a comparison, the national averages are less than 10 closed transactions and less than $1.2 million in closed volume.

Northfield has earned many accolades during his 20 years in real estate, such as ranking No. 1 in his Maplewood sales office every year since 2001. In 2012, he attained the highest company honor at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. by being named to its President’s Council, representing the top 1 percent of approximately 3,000 sales associates. Out of those 3,000 agents, he ranked No. 4 in gross commission income and No. 5 in total units sold.

Northfield is also a member of the Coldwell Banker International President’s Premier, a prestigious group whose sales performance has placed them in the top 1 percent of 82,200 Coldwell Banker sales associates worldwide.  He was additionally honored in 2012 with the New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR) Circle of Excellence Award at the Platinum Level, the highest degree of performance recognized by NJAR. He also earned a place in the NJAR Distinguished Sales Club for having earned the Circle of Excellence for 10 or more years.

In both 2012 and 2013, Northfield was selected by New Jersey Monthly Magazine as a Five Star Agent, placing him within the top 2 percent of licensed real estate agents in the State of New Jersey. Coldwell Banker placed more agents and teams than any other brand on the nationwide Real Trends rankings, with 155 spots across the four categories, and held the most overall spots in individual agent sales volume (53) and team sales volume (36).
