SOUTH MOUNTAIN YMCA COLLABORATES WITH THE ACHIEVE FOUNDATION OF SOUTH ORANGE AND MAPLEWOOD AND HOSTS PARENTS NIGHT OUT FOR CHILDREN AGES 6 WEEKS-9 YEARS OLD

The South Mountain YMCA, located at 13 Jefferson Avenue in Maplewood, is hosting a special Parents Night Out on Saturday, March 8th from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm.  In support of the Achieve Foundation of South Orange and Maplewood’s annual event:  “A Night of One Hundred Dinners”, the YMCA is offering this program to non-members in collaboration for this special event.  Parents of the community with children ages 6 weeks-9 years old will have the opportunity to bring their child to the Y and rest assured they are safe and engaging in age-appropriate activities while supporting the Achieve Foundation.   

Children can come in their pajamas and bring a pillow and blanket in the event they want to rest before their 11:00 pm pickup.  Snacks will be provided.  Registration is limited to the first 40 and the registration deadline is Wednesday, March 5th.  Children under the age of three will be located in the Childcare Center on West Parker Avenue. Children three and up will be located in the Program Center and the Gym located at 13 Jefferson Avenue.  Children including siblings will stay in the age-appropriate facilities with the proper staff ratios.  No children under the age of three will be allowed in the Program Center.
