South Orange/Maplewood 8U Cougars win American West League Championship

Congratulations to the very talented South Orange/Maplewood 8U Cougars who finished a very successful Summer season in 1st Place with a record of 11-1.  Front row (left to right): 21-Alex Maniatis, 46-Alejandro Lorenzo, 42-Nicolas Lorenzo, 28-Alex Chibbaro, 14-Dominick Starzynski. 2nd row: 6-Jack Kalsched, 27-Nico Reyes, 10-Zachary Johnson, 00-Dylan Sullivan, 3-Jake Gewirtz, 8-Brandon Doubek, 44-Nick Williams. Coaches: Lee Grossman, Ed Starzynski, Joe Doubek (not pictured: #2-Evan Grossman, Coach Rob Chibbaro). The team will finish the Summer season by playing in the Union Little League Summer Invitational Tournament starting Wednesday, and they plan to continue playing together in a Fall league.
