SOMA Women's Group Announces Meetings in the Wellness Lounge

The South Orange/Maplewood B.I.G., Believe, Inspire Grow, an inspiring business organization, designed to “empower women in business,” will start holding its monthly meetings in The Wellness Lounge in South Orange starting on October 16.

“This is a very exciting move for us,” said Catherine Stratton, co-leader of SOMA B.I.G. “Desiree Watson, president and CEO of Wellness Interactive, Inc., is such a wonderful role model for the women of B.I.G. Named as one of the Top 25 Women Entrepreneurs in New Jersey last year, she is an example of a woman who had a dream and made it happen. Many of our members are in the beginning stages of building a business. Desiree is someone we can all learn from.”

The Wellness Lounge is a perfect setting for the women of B.I.G. to grow and support each other. Located at 14 South Orange Avenue, this quiet oasis in the middle of South Orange's bustling downtown offers a vast array of Complimentary and Alternative Therapies including Reflexology, Thai Massage, Acupuncture and Guided Meditation. 

In addition the Lounge offers Something Healthy® brand environmentally products and Eco-Gifts, a vast array of artisanal teas, lifestyle classes and workshops.

The next SOMA B.I.G. meeting is on October 16 from 9:15AM to 11AM. Instead of a speaker, members will be Q-Storming, an interactive brainstorming activity proven to act as a catalyst for business growth and change.

In other words, women will be able to come in with their greatest business challenge and leave with tools, ideas and connections offered by the group while, at the same time, feeling supported and building relationships.

There is no charge for first time visitors and women in all stages of building a business – even those who aren’t even sure what they want to do but just know they want to make a change.

B.I.G. is a membership-based organization utilizes face-to-face community meetings, an interactive website and monthly teleconferences to provide intelligent women a positive and educational support network to help move their business ideas forward. Many of these women have been out of the workforce for several years or they are looking to make a change in their current career.

Founded in September 2009 in Bernardsville, NJ B.I.G. has been rapidly expanding to communities throughout the USA. The B.I.G. SOMA pod meetings will be held the third Wednesday of the month from 9:15 to 11:00 AM at The Wellness Lounge, located at 14 South Orange Avenue in South Orange, NJ.
