The Festival is very Jersey-centric with Festival Directors Tamara Thelander and Larry Rosen, both of New Jersey, said Sam Borowski, an internationally-known and award-winning filmmaker.

Borowski has a short which was recently played at an Oscar-Qualifier Festival, starring Bill Sorvino, nephew of Legendary Actor Paul Sorvino and cousin of Academy-Award Winner Mira Sorvino, along with some other big names.

“Also, the Opening-Night Feature in this festival is going to be “Surviving Family,” which has won something like 16 awards on the festival circuit and is coming out in distribution in October,” said Borowski. “This will be their last festival. It was Written and Produced by Jersey City's Mara Lesemann, so there is a strong Jersey flavor to this festival.”
