VIDEO: Fair Lawn Business to Celebrate National Record Store Day

Irv Lukin has a vast collection of vintage music at EZ2collect on Broadway

National Record Store Day is coming up on Saturday, and for those who want somewhere to celebrate their passion for vintage music, EZ2collect of Fair Lawn fits the bill.

Owner Irv Lukin grew up in the borough, graduated from , and went on to a career in the music industry that included promoting acts as diverse as Barry Manilow and The Grateful Dead. He was hired Clive Davis at Arista Records, where he worked for many years. At the same time, he was accumulating a massive inventory of more than 70,000 albums in storage.

Lukin's owned several small stores in Paramus and Fort Lee before opening EZ2collect at 35-10 Broadway six years ago. You can buy or sell new and used albums, CD’s, DVD’s, tapes and more at the shop. EZ2collect is also on the leading edge of the new “retro” demand for vinyl records.

On Saturday, EZ2collect will hold special celebrations and sales. Watch the video above to see some of the store's prized records and hear Lukin's take on National Record Store Day. For more information, call 201-791-8677, email EZ2collect@aol.com or visit http://ez2collect.com/.

sadly, the Beach Boys best stuff is probably the least listened to. Surfs Up, Holland, Carl And The Passions, and the 1972 (ish) live album with Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar are outstanding, but no one really knows those albums.

Yeah, my BB faves start with Sunflower and go through Holland... There's a great unreleased album in there called "Landlocked" if you can find it.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin. Might not count because it was a double album.
