Well-Strung Rocks Out for North Jersey Pride at SOPAC

Nancy And David Fine Jewels of Millburn is co-sponsoring benefit concert next month.

The group Well-Strung will perform next month in a benefit concert at the South Orange Performing Arts Center for North Jersey Pride.

The concert, co-sponsored by Nancy And David Fine Jewels of Millburn, will be held Friday, March 21 at 8 p.m.

Well-Strung is comprised of four hunky musicians who move seamlessly performing a fusion of classical and contemporary pop songs playing three violins and one cello together with singing along with an electrified and invigorating stage presence.

Called the "hottest thing with a bow since Jennifer Lawrence in 'The Hunger Games'" by the New York Daily News, Well-Strung features the music of Mozart, Vivaldi and Bach as well as new arrangements of songs by Pink, Adele, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, and more.

The all-male, all-gay quartet dazzled attendees at the North Jersey Pride Festival in Maplewood last June as one of the day’s headliners and have sold out live shows around the country.

David Stone, co-owner of Nancy And David Fine Jewels, experienced Well-Strung live for the first time last year with his wife, Nancy.

“At that moment I knew these guys would be perfect for us to present in concert for our ongoing fundraising concert series,” Stone said.

The proceeds from the concert will benefit North Jersey Pride, a 501(c)3 that produces the North Jersey Pride Week and Festival in June; SOPAC; and local charitable non-profit groups.

“We were thrilled, and incredibly grateful, when Nancy and David contacted us to let us know they wanted the proceeds of this event to benefit North Jersey Pride. They are true allies of the LGBTQ community,” North Jersey Pride Executive Director C.J. Prince said. “Having seen Well-Strung on our stage last year, we have no doubt they will wow the SOPAC audience.”

Well-Strung will appear on The Today Show with Hoda & Kathy Lee the day before their SOPAC performance.

The SOPAC performance is sponsored by Investors Bank, and Nancy And David Fine Jewels. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.SOPACnow.org
